Klipper Golf Course – Marine Corps Base

Ki Concepts lead the design-build team for the Klipper Golf Course Ponds Restoration Project, located at MCHB Kane‘ohe Bay, O‘ahu, Hawai‘i. Existing retention ponds were cleared of debris and invasive alien riparian plants. A wetland restoration plan was developed to restore native riparian species and provide habitat for native Hawaiian waterfowl at 3 non-tidal ponds that are fed by rainfall and storm water runoff from the surrounding area. An in depth maintenance manual was also developed to ensure proper care of this jurisdictional wetlands area protected by the US Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
